Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "NCIS" Closes Season on Top for CBS

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/14/20):

CBS (9.810 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) was the network to beat on Tuesday thanks to the season finale of "NCIS" (13.183 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) alongside a new "FBI: Most Wanted" (8.976 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #5) and a second "FBI: Most Wanted" (7.271 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #6).

NBC (4.871 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) was the silver draw with its mix of "Ellen's Game of Games" (4.965 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2), the season finale of "New Amsterdam" (5.932 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) and "NBC News Special Report: Coronavirus Pandemic" (3.715 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8).

Next up was ABC (3.135 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) and its lineup of "The Conners" (5.992 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2), "Bless This Mess" (3.547 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8), "Mixed-ish" (2.563 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11), "Black-ish" (2.291 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11) and "For Life" (2.209 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.648 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) opted for a repeat "The Masked Singer" (2.584 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) and the penultimate "Empire" (2.712 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #7).

And finally, closing out the evening were second runs of "The Flash" (0.449 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.1, #14) and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (0.297 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.0, #15) on The CW (0.373 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5).

ABC (3.860 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then snagged the silver with originals from "American Housewife" (3.898 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5), "The Kids Are Alright" (3.123 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7) and "Black-ish" (3.516 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5) plus the premiere of "Bless This Mess" (4.638 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) and the season finale of "The Rookie" (3.993 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7).

Next up was NBC (5.141 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its mix of "The Voice" (7.094 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2), "The Village" (3.877 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11) and "New Amsterdam" (4.450 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.107 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up fresh installments of "MasterChef Junior" (2.506 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7) and "Mental Samurai" (1.708 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #14).

And finally, new episodes of "The Flash" (1.830 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11) and "Roswell, New Mexico" (1.074 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15) on The CW (1.452 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) rounded out the evening.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.5/4; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.6/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/5. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.1/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
