Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: "Big Brother" Tops Demos; "Got Talent" Leads Viewers

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/12/20):

NBC (4.274 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T1) and CBS (3.075 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T1) shared the demo crown as the former offered up a new "America's Got Talent" (6.055 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2), the season finale of "World of Dance" (4.140 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) and a repeat "Chicago PD" (2.628 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8).

The Eye then served up originals from "Big Brother 22" (4.172 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) and "Tough as Nails" (3.061 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) plus a repeat "SEAL Team" (1.992 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8).

Next up was ABC (1.832 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #3) and its mix of "United We Fall" (3.154 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4), a repeat "The Goldbergs" (1.865 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T6), "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (1.638 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T6) and the final episode of "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (1.349 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.310 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) continued with repeats of "MasterChef" (1.282 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8) and another "MasterChef" (1.338 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T8).

And finally, originals from "The 100" (0.629 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T13) and "Coroner" (0.656 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T13) on The CW (0.643 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) rounded out the night.

NBC (4.585 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) then was the silver draw with the time period premieres of "America's Got Talent" (7.723 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) and "Songland" (3.655 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5) plus the season finale of "The InBetween" (2.377 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9).

Next up was CBS (3.099 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) with a new "Big Brother 21" (4.282 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) alongside repeats of "SEAL Team" (2.578 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T9) and another "SEAL Team" (2.437 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #11).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.3/2; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline," averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.9/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.1/1.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.4/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.1/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
