"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" (M-F, 11:35 p.m.)
During the week of Sept. 21, 2020, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" premiered its new season as the No. 1 late-night talk show in Adults 18-49 (363,000), beating the opening weeks of CBS' "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" by 17% (311,000) and NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" by 33% (272,000). In fact, this marked the first time ever "Kimmel" won the first week of the broadcast season in Adults 18-49.
ABC's "Kimmel" outdelivered CBS' "Colbert" on 4 of 5 nights of the week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) among Adults 18-49, while topping NBC's "Fallon" on all 5 nights of the week.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" delivered the Top 2 late-night telecasts of the week among Adults 18-49 with its Monday (498,000) and Thursday (351,000) broadcasts, respectively.
Please note: ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" was delayed until 12:11 a.m. on Monday, 9/21/20 and NBC's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" was delayed until 12:03 a.m. on Friday.

In Third Week of 'Turning Point' Series, 'Nightline' Posts Largest Premiere Week Lead Over CBS and Beats NBC in First Premiere Week Ever in Key Adult Demos
'Nightline' Grows Week to Week in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, Hitting 6-Week Highs
In its third week of special "Turning Point" reports, "Nightline" aired the second installment of its series looking at reparations, examining what America owes Native Americans.
ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (881,000), Adults 25-54 (312,000) and Adults 18-49 (233,000) during the opening week of the 2020-21 season for week of Sept. 21, 2020, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. Returning to its 12:35-1:05 a.m. time period, "Nightline"'s victory marked the first time ever that the ABC program took the top spot versus its CBS and NBC competition during a premiere week in its time slot in both key Adult demos - since the 2013-2014 season.
"Nightline" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (755,000, 208,000 and 156,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+126,000), Adults 25-54 (+104,000) and Adults 18-49 (+77,000), posting its largest-ever premiere week leads in both Adult demos versus the CBS program - since the 2015-2016 season.
In addition, "Nightline" defeated NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (838,000, 245,000 and 162,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+43,000), Adults 25-54 (+67,000) and Adults 18-49 (+71,000), beating the NBC program for the first time ever during a premiere in both key Adult demos - since the 2014-2015 season.
For the 2nd week in a row, "Nightline" was up versus the previous week (294,000 and 205,000, respectively, for w/o 9/14/20) in Adults 25-54 (+6%) and Adults 18-49 (+14) to hit 6-week highs in both measures - since w/o 8/10/20.
In its third week of special "Turning Point" reports, "Nightline" aired the second installment of its series looking at reparations, examining what America owes Native Americans. Last week "Nightline" also examined the outrage over the lack of charges in the Breonna Taylor case, how it may affect future police shooting cases, and profiled street artists who have painted murals commemorating those who've died from racism.
NOTE: On Friday (9/25/20), repeat telecasts of CBS' "The Late Late Show" was retitled to "Late Late Show-JC" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM." The retitled telecasts are not be included in the weekly averages. CBS and NBC's weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
