Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: "American Idol" Return Tops Demos for ABC

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/14/21):

ABC (5.741 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1) moved into the top demo spot on Sunday thanks to a new "America's Funniest Home Videos" (5.703 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3), the return of "American Idol" (6.685 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) and an original "The Rookie" (3.893 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6).

CBS (6.969 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) claimed the silver with its new lineup of "60 Minutes" (9.059 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4), "The Equalizer" (7.976 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (5.915 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T4) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (4.926 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #8).

Next up was FOX (3.161 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) with a full night of "NASCAR Overrun" (3.161 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6).

Meanwhile, NBC (2.377 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) offered up repeats of "Weakest Link" (2.181 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "The Wall" (1.796 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) followed by the two-hour special "Grand Ole Opry: 95 Years of Country Music" (2.765 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9).

And finally, fresh installments from "Batwoman" (0.507 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T12) and "Charmed" (0.371 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T12) on The CW (0.439 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) rounded out the night.

The silver went to FOX (1.699 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) with repeats of "The Simpsons" (2.128 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9) and "Bob's Burgers" (1.463 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12) followed by a new "The Simpsons" (1.965 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3), the debut of "Duncanville" (1.514 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9) as well as originals from "Bob's Burgers" (1.508 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and "Family Guy" (1.615 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4).
