"60 MINUTES" IS ON TOP AGAIN AS THE WEEK'S #1 NON-SPORTS PRIMETIME PROGRAM
The CBS Newsmagazine Has Been #1 Every Week This Season
60 MINUTES was once again the week's #1 non-sports primetime program in total viewers, adults 18+ and adults 25-54, taking the top spot every week this season, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Oct. 2. The broadcast posted its best audience since Jan. 16, delivering 10.27 million total viewers, 9.98 million in adults 18+ and 2.37 million in adults 25-54. This is the third week in a row that 60 MINUTES has been the #1 news program. The CBS newsmagazine was the week's #4 primetime broadcast in both viewers and adults 18+, putting the program in the top 10 for the third consecutive week.
60 MINUTES amassed 575 million potential social impressions, up +111% from the prior week.
Sunday's edition of 60 MINUTES featured Scott Pelley's interview with Ukraine's first lady Olena Zelenska in Kyiv following months of catastrophic war; Bill Whitaker's investigation into what happened in those crucial first days of the Caldor fire that nearly wiped out the rural town of Grizzly Flats; and Jon Wertheim's profile of South Africa's first Black rugby captain, Siya Kolisi, whose team, the Springboks, won the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
