With the return of "America's Funniest Home Videos," the two-hour season premiere of "American Idol" and the series debut of "The Company You Keep," ABC hit a new season high on the night in Total Viewers (5.7 million).
ABC ranked as Sunday's No. 1 entertainment network among Adults 18-49 (0.6/6), leading 2nd-place CBS by 20% (0.5/5).
"America's Funniest Home Videos" (7:00-8:00 p.m. - 4.8 million Total Viewers and 0.5/5 in AD18-49 in L+7):
With its first original broadcast in six weeks, ABC's "America's Funniest Home Videos" returned with its most-watched telecast in Total Viewers (4.8 million) since November ― since 11/6/22.
"American Idol" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 6.9 million Total Viewers and 0.8/8 in AD18-49 in L+7):
The season six premiere of ABC's "American Idol" stood as Sunday's No. 1 entertainment series among Adults 18-49 (0.8/8), dominating its nearest competition on the night by 33% (0.6/5 for CBS' "The Equalizer" and Fox's "Family Guy").
After seven days of viewing across linear and digital platforms, the season premiere of "American Idol" gained an additional +3.0 million Total Viewers to hit 8.3 million multiplatform viewers. In addition, "American Idol" jumped to a 1.40 rating in Adults 18-49 after seven days of cross-platform viewing.
"The Company You Keep" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 4.0 million Total Viewers and 0.4/4 in AD18-49 in L+7):
After just seven days of viewing on linear and digital platforms, the series debut of ABC's "The Company You Keep" jumped more than 3 times over its Live+Same Day rating among Adults 18-49, with a delayed-viewing increase of +242% (0.26 rating to 0.89 rating). In addition, the new ABC drama picked up +3.1 million Total Viewers (2.4 million to 5.5 million) in delayed multiplatform viewing.
