'The Killer' Debuts at #1; 'All the Light We Cannot See' Holds Onto Series Lead
David Fincher's "mesmerizing" new thriller The Killer starring Michael Fassbender made its target, shooting straight to the top of the English Films List in its debut week with 27.9M views. It was the most watched title of the week, was #1 in 88 countries and reached the Top 10 in 93 countries. Returning to the list were the erotic crime thriller Locked In (UK) in second place (13.2M views); Sylvester Stallone documentary Sly kept the hits coming in fourth (5.9M views); NYAD, starring Annette Bening and Jodie Foster, in fifth (5.8M views); and Pain Hustlers, starring Emily Blunt and Chris Evans, in sixth (5.1M views). Elsewhere, fans' Spidey-senses were still tingling with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swinging into #7 with 4.4M views.
The epic limited series All the Light We Cannot See, came in strong for its second week in a row, holding on to the top spot on the English TV List with 10.1M views, becoming the most watched TV title of the week. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, which recently returned to #1 on The New York Times bestseller list, the series delivers an emotional breakout performance from newcomer Aria Mia Loberti, and continues its impressive ascent reaching the Top 10 in 86 countries. Making their list debuts were the investigative docuseries Escaping Twin Flames at #3 (4.1M views); Robbie Williams, the docuseries following the meteoric rise of the English pop superstar, at #4 (3.9M views); and the animated drama Blue Eye Samurai, which features the voices of Maya Erksine, Brenda Song and Kenneth Branagh, at #6 (2.9M views).
The action comedy Wingwomen (France) held onto the top spot on the Non-English Films List for the second week with 11.6M views. Elsewhere, fans were eager to get into the Christmas spirit, sending The Claus Family 3 (Belgium) into the fourth spot in its debut week with 2.8M views.
Season 3 of Turkish drama The Tailor topped the Non-English TV List in its second week, with 4.4M views. Debuting on the list were the docuseries following the life of L'Oréal heiress Liliane Bettencourt, The Billionaire, The Butler, and the Boyfriend (France) in second place with 3.8M views and drama Daily Dose of Sunshine (Korea) in fourth (2.8M views). In its sixth week on the list, Part 3 of crime heist series Lupin (France) took fifth place with 2M views.
