Top 10 Week of Feb. 5: 'Griselda' #1 Again; 'Society of the Snow' Moves Up on Most Popular List
Griselda, the limited series starring and executive produced by Sofía Vergara, created by Eric Newman and directed by Andrés Baiz, spent its third week at #1 on the English TV List with 10.3M views. One Day, the critically acclaimed new limited series starring Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall and adapted from David Nicholls' beloved romance novel, debuted in third place with 5.3M views and reached the Top 10 in 75 countries. Returning to the list were the docuseries Alexander: The Making of a God at #3 (3.5M views), Harlan Coben's crime thriller Fool Me Once at #5 (3.3M views), true crime docuseries American Nightmare at #6 (3M views) and Season 2 of Love on the Spectrum US at #10 (1.2M views).
Taking the top spot on the English Films List was Despicable Me 3 with 15.9M views. DreamWorks Animation's Orion and the Dark, the animated family film directed by Sean Charmatz and written by Charlie Kaufman, took second place in its second week with 12.7M views. It was a big week for documentaries on the list. True crime documentary Lover, Stalker, Killer, entered the list at #3 with 10M views, and The Greatest Night in Pop, Bao Nguyen's documentary which goes behind the making of the legendary charity single "We Are the World," landed at #8 (5.1M views). Lift, starring Kevin Hart, took tenth place in its fifth week on the list (3.8M views).
Action-adventure Badland Hunters (Korea) remained atop the Non-English Films List for the third week in a row with 6.1M views. Making their list debuts were the romantic thriller Ashes (Turkey) at #2 (4.8M views) and the gritty thriller Bhakshak (India) at #5 (2.4M views). Best International Film Oscar(R) nominee Society of the Snow (Spain), from director J.A. Bayona, took third place in its sixth week on the list (4.1M views). The film, which recently won 12 Goya Awards including Best Picture and Best Director, also rose to second place on the Most Popular Non-English Films List.
Crime thriller Baby Bandito (Chile) claimed #1 on the Non-English TV List with (3.3M views). New list entrants included crime thriller A Killer Paradox (Korea) in second place (3.1M views), true crime docuseries Raël: The Alien Prophet (France) in third (2M views) and comedy Alpha Males (Spain) in tenth (0.9M views).
