"60 Minutes" Easily Outperforms the Emmys, +52% Ahead of That Broadcast
"60 Minutes" Makes the Top 10 for the Week; Was the #6 Primetime Broadcast in Both Viewers and Adults 18+ and #9 in Adults 25-54
The 57th season premiere of 60 MINUTES was Sunday's #1 non-sports program and nabbed 10.48 million total viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same-day ratings for Sunday, Sept. 15. 60 MINUTES was first in its time period on Sunday in viewers and adults 18+ (10.02m, 3.9/17).
60 MINUTES easily outperformed ABC's "The 76th Emmy Awards" (6.90m), +52% ahead of that broadcast.
60 MINUTES was a top 10 broadcast for the week. The CBS newsmagazine was the #6 primetime broadcast in both viewers and adults 18+ and #9 in adults 25-54.
After 50 consecutive years as America's #1 news program, the award-winning CBS newsmagazine returned Sunday with original episodes. The Sunday, Sept. 15 edition of 60 MINUTES featured Scott Pelley's report on the Jan. 6 Capitol riot prosecutions; Cecilia Vega's reporting on tensions between China and the Philippines in the South China Sea; and Anderson Cooper's interview with Grammy-winning pop star Dua Lipa.
