ABC NEWS IS THE MOST-WATCHED BROADCAST NETWORK ACROSS THE BOARD FOR SECOND STRAIGHT PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS TO CONGRESS WITH 6.3 MILLION VIEWERS, GROWING DOUBLE DIGITS IN TOTAL VIEWERS, ADULTS 25-54 AND ADULTS 18-49 COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS ADDRESS IN 2021
ABC News Leads CBS by 2.3 Million, NBC by 2.4 Million and Fox by 3.7 Million in Total Viewers
The ABC News special coverage of President Donald J. Trump's address to the joint session of Congress (9:18-10:57 p.m. EST) averaged 6.332 million Total Viewers, 1.708 million Adults 25-54 and 1.342 million Adults 18-49, ranking No. 1 among the broadcast networks, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.
· ABC News ranked No. 1 among the broadcast networks across the board for the second straight presidential address to Congress.
· ABC led CBS by 2.323 million Total Viewers, 643,00 Adults 25-54 and 589,000 Adults 18-49 (9:13-10:58 p.m. EST - 4.009 million, 1.065 million and 753,000, respectively), NBC by 2.423 million Total Viewers, 623,00 Adults 25-54 and 582,000 Adults 18-49 (9:19-10:58 p.m. EST - 3.909 million, 1.085 million and 760,000, respectively) and FOX by 3.680 million Total Viewers, 816,00 Adults 25-54 and 649,000 Adults 18-49 (9:00-11:22 p.m. EST - 2.652 million, 892,000 and 693,000, respectively).
· ABC posted double-digit increases across the board compared to the previous presidential address to the joint session of Congress in 2021 (4/28/21): Total Viewers (+61% - 6.332 million vs. 3.941 million), Adults 25-54 (+47% - 1.708 million vs. 1.160 million) and Adults 18-49 (+54% - 1.342 million vs. 873,000).
