DESCRIPTION: (from A&E's web site, September 2008) The SWAT franchise on A&Eā¢ is a relentlessly real life-on-the-line show that brings viewers into the intense, pressure-cooker world of DALLAS SWAT, DETROIT SWAT and KANSAS CITY SWAT. Witness as each episode reveals how precise teamwork and overwhelming force make the difference between life and death. Ride shotgun as the teams execute high-risk drug busts, apprehend murder suspects, search for high-profile missing persons, and rescue hostages. It takes a special type of cop to put his or her life on the line day after day. SWAT officers must be at the top of their game in their area of specialty ā whether sniper, negotiator, or entry specialist ā to safely accomplish each mission. DALLAS SWAT, DETROIT SWAT and KANSAS CITY SWAT give viewers an inside look at what it means to be a member of these elite police units. But what happens after the mission is over? The show also follows these officers as they hang out together and try to manage their hectic personal lives after their exhausting work is over. Whether it's juggling relationships or pursuing sports competitions, our SWAT officers tackle a host of off-duty challenges with the same amount of intensity as they do their day jobs. |
