DESCRIPTION:
(from VH1's press release, July 2014) Imagine the pulsating energy of the music festival experience, combined with the rush of seeing your favorite band perform their biggest hits live - this is "SoundClash," VH1 and Palladia's innovative new series that unites a variety of musical acts onstage. Executive produced by Ahmir "?uestLove" Thompson and hosted by DJ/producer, Mad Decent founder and Grammy Award-nominee Diplo, each one-hour show seamlessly weaves together continuous musical performances with artist and band interviews for an all-encompassing audiovisual experience. The series' inaugural episode on Wednesday, July 23rd will feature Grammy Award-nominated, and three-time VMA winner Fall Out Boy with three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling rapper T.I., and up-and-coming British trip-hop group London Grammar rounding out the trio on the SoundClash stage. The second episode premiering on Wednesday, July 30th has the Brit-born, Grammy Award-nominated global sensation Ed Sheeran joining up with Grammy Award-nominated Australian global hitmaker/singer/producer Sia, with the emerging US-based rockers Grouplove. Future episodes of VH1's "SoundClash" will match up of some of the world's most iconic (and diverse) performers for what promises to be a historic series delivering extraordinary performances and buzzworthy moments. |
