Teaser for 'Gyeongseong Creature' Season 2 Brings the Battle to Modern-Day Seoul, Premiering September 27
Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 has been confirmed to premiere on September 27, following the global success of the first season. The series, which captured the heartbreaking romance between two people standing against the tragedy borne from monstrous human desire in 1945 Gyeongseong, now takes viewers on a journey to 2024 Seoul. This season uncovers the never-ending ties of fate - both good and bad - that weaves through time. Ho-jae, a man deceptively similar to Tae-sang, and Chae-ok, a survivor of the Gyeongseong spring, navigate these complex relationships in the modern era.
Character posters have been unveiled, featuring characters who have transitioned from 1945 to 2024, including Ho-jae (Park Seo-jun), who has a chilling resemblance to Tae-sang, the master of Gyeongseong's biggest pawn shop. Why does Ho-jae from 2024 look exactly like Tae-sang and what secret is he hiding? Chae-ok (Han So-hee) appears to have fully adapted to present-day Seoul, raising questions about her survival after drinking Najin in the last episode of Season 1, and what she's been up to since then.
New characters Kuroko Leader (Lee Mu-saeng) and Seung-jo (Bae Hyeon-seong) are introduced, adding to the hype of the expanded storyline in Season 2. Kuroko Leader, who commands the Kurokos, an elite group of operatives following secretive orders, crafts a sinister plan in the labs of Jeonseung Biotech. Seung-jo pursues Ho-jae and Chae-ok, heightening the suspense and showcasing intense action in the unfolding mysterious events.
The teaser begins with Chae-ok recalling her past after drinking the Najin. She wakes in modern-day Seoul, facing Ho-jae, who looks exactly like Tae-sang. Meanwhile, Kuroko Leader continues with questionable experiments, suggesting that past horrors may recur. The preview hints at explosive action and a desperate battle that transcends time periods, raising the question: How will the entwined relationships, fates, and karma from Gyeongseong come to a head in Seoul?
Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 premieres on September 27, only on Netflix.
